Every flat rate has a time budget inside it. To put a flat number on your home, a company has to decide how many hours it should take and what those hours are worth. That calculation sits behind every flat price in this industry. What differs is whether you are shown it, and where the hours came from.
Ours come from your home. Below are our hourly rates, our estimate ranges for a first cleaning, and our recurring flat rates, along with the full list of what we clean.
First cleaning

These are estimates, not quotes. They are built from 9,300 homes cleaned in the San Diego area, which is why we are comfortable publishing them.

Why the first clean is billed hourly
A home nobody has cleaned yet is genuinely unpredictable. Even an in-person walkthrough cannot reliably tell us how long it will take or how fast the work will go.
So instead of guessing and padding the guess, we measure. You pay for the labor your home actually needs, at a rate you can see before we arrive.
About 90% of jobs finish within the estimate we gave. Your crew walks the property before starting, and if anything looks meaningfully different from what you described, we call you before any work is billed. You approve the adjusted estimate or tell us to hold at the original.

Our minimum is $165 per visit for weekly, bi-weekly and monthly. That is the floor regardless of home size. It covers the crew’s time, travel and supplies.
The more often we come, the less there is to do, which is why weekly costs less per visit than monthly.
What a flat rate is actually built from
A company that quotes before anyone has cleaned your home is a price for an average home of your size. Every home is different and requires a different level of care and attention.
The flat rates we provide come directly from your house cleaning needs. By the time we quote a Flat Rate, we have already cleaned your home. We know the square footage, the surfaces, the pets, the condition, and how long the work actually takes. Your flat rate is the average condition of your specific home, which is a different number from the average three bedroom house in San Diego.
Some visits run a little long and some run short, and you are truly covered if a cleaning ends up taking longer at some point, that is what a flat rate is for. The difference is that yours is averaged over your home rather than over every other house in San Diego with a similar size as yours.
It holds visit after visit. It changes only if something changes: a renovation, a new pet, a room coming back into use, or a long enough gap that the home needs deep cleaning again. You hear about that before the visit, never on the invoice.
Recurring visits carry the same scope as your deep clean, at lower intensity, because the home is already in good condition. We are maintaining a standard, not re-establishing one. Some companies price a cheaper “standard clean” that only spot cleans baseboards and skips the detail work. Ours does not change what gets touched, only how much effort each surface needs.

How your total is calculated
Hourly rate × number of cleaners × hours worked.
We usually send two cleaners. Two people working together cost about the same as one person taking twice as long, and you get your home back in half the time.
A bi-weekly clean with two cleaners for two hours is $55 × 2 × 2 = $220.

Yes. Tell us your ceiling and we'll cap the service there, then work your priorities first. Our team is very communicative and wants to learn your home and what matters most to you. We can accommodate your needs and build a specific checklist that meets your budget. You decide what matters most — we don't stop in a random place and hand you a bill.
Your crew's day is built around your home, and they are paid for that time whether or not we can fill it. More than 48 hours notice: no fee. Inside 48 hours: $50. Same day as the cleaning: 50% of the service.
After the cleaning is done and you are happy with the results. When the crew finishes, our office contacts you. You see the work first, then you pay — that order is deliberate, you should not pay for a result you have not seen. We accept card, Venmo and Zelle; Venmo or Zelle saves you 2.5% to 4%.
It depends entirely on how the flat rate was arrived at. A flat rate set by a crew that has already cleaned your home, and knows the square footage, the condition and how long the work actually takes, is accurate. A flat rate set before anyone has seen the place is a price for the average home of your size. So we use both, in that order: our hourly rate for the first house cleaning, because that's the one visit nobody can predict, then we lock in a flat rate after it, because by then there is nothing left to predict. We know hourly is the one that sounds risky — if you're paying by the hour and you're not home to watch, slower work costs you more. That's a fair thing to worry about, when you don't know how we work. The short answer is that nobody here benefits from taking longer: every job has a time cap based on your estimate, crews are rewarded on efficiency and client satisfaction rather than hours logged, and a crew with three or four homes booked that day cannot stretch yours without breaking their own schedule. If a job looks like it will exceed its cap, the office calls you before the extra time is worked. That's why we're willing to bill time on the first visit, and why the flat rate that comes out of it is the fairest number we know how to produce — not the cheapest in San Diego, the one with the least guesswork in it.

Four things keep your invoice where the estimate said it would be.
- The crew walks your home before starting. If anything looks meaningfully different from what was described, they stop and call the office, and we call you before any work begins. You approve the adjusted estimate or tell us to hold at the original quote.
- Every job has a time cap based on your estimate. If a crew thinks they may exceed it, they contact the office first. You will never see a bill go past your estimate without a conversation.
- The schedule polices itself. A crew usually has three or four cleanings booked in a day. Stretching your job breaks the rest of their day, and arriving on time for the next client is a commitment we hold them to.
- We hire about 2% of applicants and put every one through seven steps and two weeks of training before they clean a home alone. Speed without shortcuts is the thing we train for, and it is what makes an hourly rate fair to you.
